Above is a picture of an actual, real live cat that Russian prisoners reportedly used to transport cellphones into their jail cells.
According to the report, guards saw the cat climbing the fence to get into the prison, with phones and chargers taped to its belly. How they were planning on the thing getting all the way into the prison undetected is anyone’s guess, but hey you at least got to admire the creativity!
But honestly, does the cat even know what’s going on here? It must smell catnip or something to be climbing a prison fence like that. Apparently these Russian jailbirds view cats as some kind of super-intelligent military animal like a German Shepherd or something.
Cats aren’t the dumbest animals in the world. But this thing probably just wanted to climb something so it could sit there for a few hours then randomly jump off and run away. Can’t really trust cats to even care about handling a covert operation like this.
What do you think of this? Clever idea by the prisoners or just a dumb plot that was doomed to fail?
